TikTok is one of the most popular apps in the world and some people have used it to change their life.
The short video clip app has turned previously unknown individuals into global stars who are now worth millions but others have struggled to make a profit. TikTok stars like Addison Rae can earn a lot of money on TikTok through sponsored content.

How much money you can make on TikTok depends on a few factors.
Your number of followers is a big factor as well as your willingness to work with brands or create your own products to sell.
Influencer Marketing Hub has created a tool which lets you work out how much a TikToker makes per post.
You can then do the maths and work out how much per view that would be for each video.
For example, if you type in TikTok star Addison Rae’s account name, which is @addisonre, the tool claims that she can earn an estimated $50,821 — $84,701 (£37,000 — £62,000) per post.
Rae has 85.2 million TikTok followers and she can gets millions of views but the amount is not consistence for each post.
Sometimes she can get around five million and other times she can get around 70 million views.
Rae is likely to make most of her money on TikTok from brand collaborations and sponsored content.
If you’re eligible you could join the TikTok Creator Fund and then TikTok could pay you for content.
However, you might not earn as much as you think.
According to Mashable some top creators reported earning “between two and four cents per 1,000 views”.
